“Much like when you rip a DVD, the VOB file is ready to play on your PC or media player. Do Blu-rays work the same way?”
Recently, I found many people have the item like me. I have been searching and haven’t found an answer to my problem until last day I tried a good Blu-ray ripper recommended by a net friend. My problem was resolved at last. Here I would rather share with you my solution to play Blu-ray on WDTV via this good Blu-ray ripper called
Moyea Blu-ray Ripper. It can convert/rip any Blu-ray (protected and non-protected) to other popular video/audio formats with ease.
To start, we should know that WDTV can not directly play Blu-ray even if it supports a large range of audio/video formats, like MPEG1/2/4, WMV9, AVI (MPEG4, Xvid, AVC), H.264, MKV, MOV (MPEG4, H.264), MTS, TP, TS, MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV/PCM/LPCM, AAC, FLAC, Dolby Digital (AC-3), AIF/AIFF and MKA. Therefore, it is necessary to
convert/rip Blu-ray to WDTV workable formats.
Preparation: Free download Moyea
Blu-ray Ripper for Mac, instill and run it.
Step 1: Load all your Blu-ray files into this program by clicking “DVD Folder” or “IFO File” button.
Step 2: Select output format as WDTV workable format
To keep high output quality, I prefer to choose MOV video format as output format for WDTV here.
Step 3: Adjust audio/video parameters
Click the “
Settings” button, this Mac Video to WDTV Converter allows you to set resolution, aspect ratio, bit rate, frame rate, codec, size, sample rate and channels for your reference. Remember the larger bit rate, the bigger file size while the better output quality.
Hit the “
Save as” button, you can save the settings for next use by default.
Step 4: Click the “Convert” button to start Blu-ray to WDTV Conversion
In the process of converting, you will see some useful info you may want to know, like time left, time estimated, generated size and estimated size. Additionally, this Mac Video Converter is a good timesaver which supports batch conversion at high fast conversion speed.
That's all. Best wishes!
